You are invited to hear a presentation by Dr. R.J.Gatling which centers on the major events and people in his life that lead to the creation of his most well know invention and the impact it has made on the weapons of today.
The power point presentation will be delivered by “Living Historian” Edward D. Vitez that includes a full scale reproduction Model 1862 Gatling Gun.
Bio:
Ed has been an active member of many Civil War Reenactment/Living History groups in the community for many years. This includes the 17th Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment in Livonia, the 5th Michigan Regiment Band in Novi, the George W. Lee Civil War Roundtable of Howell, and Historic Fort Wayne Coalition in Detroit.
This is two hours prior to the awesome concert by Moose and da Sharks at the Brighton Millpond and is admission is free on Sunday,August 16, 2015, 5 – 6 pm.
